At New Life, we value spiritual formation.

We believe that Christ-followers partner with the Holy Spirit in the process of sanctification. Sanctification is the putting off of the “old self” and its practices while “putting on” our new nature, that which is like Christ. The process of sanctification takes place when we cultivate our relationship with Jesus through spiritual disciplines such as Bible reading, obedience to God’s Word, prayer, listening to God, meditating on the Bible and memorization, fellowship with other Christ-followers, repentance, confession, service, giving, fasting, solitude, worship, and celebration. (Romans 12:1-2; Colossians 3:9-10; Hebrews 6:1; James 1:22; 2 Peter 1:5-7; 2 Peter 3:18) 

New Life has a number of tools and opportunities we embrace for the purpose of spiritual formation and which aid the Christ-follower in personal growth, wholeness, training in doctrine, and ministering to others. More Information

A fifteen week mentoring process establishing core foundations for one's relationship with God. Grow in hearing God's voice and walking in obedience. Experience significant life-change through this journey. Offered periodically in a small group format. Groups may also be formed on request for those interested. Abide is a pre-requisite for Grow Character. 

A fifteen week follow up to Abide in which the participant will go deep into topics such as sanctification, deliverance, suffering and trials, stewardship and other topics that will continue to deepen one's relationship with God. Offered periodically in a small group format. Groups may also be formed on request for those interested. 

A six week seminar (one 90 minute session each week) in which the participant will grow in hearing God's voice through Biblical foundations, and practical application. Offered as a seminar 1-2 times per year. 

We all have hurts, hangups and habits that hinder our relationship with God and others. The SET FREE weekend retreat (Friday eve and Saturday) is an opportunity to invite God to bring healing into your life and where you can experience His love, grace and forgiveness. Through worship, teaching, and small group interaction you will discover a freedom in your life that only God can give. It is advised that a person first walks through the Hearing God Seminar or Abide before participating in the Set Free Retreat. Offered once per year.

From the book Doing What Jesus Did by John and Sonja Decker, participants will find a practical, step-by-step process that will train Christ-followers how to minister in the power and revelation of the Holy Spirit. Through six sessions that include teaching and practice in leading people to Christ, leading Christians into the Holy Spirit baptism, learning how to pray for the sick, hearing from God, healing the sick by revelation, and dealing with demons. Offered on request. 

Who Am I? How did God uniquely fashion me to serve His purposes? Participant will have the opportunity to utilize specific tools such as the Myers Brigg test, values mapping, and a motivational gifts test to gain insight into their personality, values, and giftings. This insight will be used in small group coaching sessions to form a life calling statement, to increase relational awareness, and to explore how this insight can impact their home life, work life, relationships, and service in God's kingdom. Four 60-90 minute sessions. 

A five session exploration of God’s purpose for His Church. Participants will look at the early church in the books of Acts to identify four specific points that highlight God’s purpose for His Church and how they fit into that. Offered on request.
